Ever notice that no matter how hard you train for some reason there is this layer of fat, normally around the midsection that just WON'T go away?
You done a gazillion crunches and a billion sit ups and yes your abs to get harder but that layer of fat just won’t go away!
I feel you pain, for years I battled with the very same problem except, it got worse. After a long history of training and keeping fit somehow I ended up getting caught up with the whole social scene and started to neglect my training. This went on for way longer than is should have and my bachelor lifestyle (eating out almost every day, going out partying and boozing regularly) eventually started to take its toll on my body. After a good few years of letting myself go I decided that enough was enough and I decided to get my body back into the shape it used to be.
This marked the beginning of my journey, I started training about 4 times a week with combination of martial arts and gym work, the exact formula I used in the past. I was definitely getting fitter and stronger but for some reason was not loosing any body fat. So after much confusion I got myself checked up and to my horror discovered that I had a thyroid problem due to my poor lifestyle choices. Instead of going the normal chronic medication route I opted for natural treatment. After 6 months I was able to cure my thyroid problem (please read my separate article about how I did this).
Now with my thyroid sorted I was confident I would be back in shape in no time. After dedicated effort I was making good progress. After a while I reached a plateau, still had a lot of weight to loose but for some reason progress came to a grinding halt.
So it was back to the drawing board, after much research I came across Mike Geary's Truth about Abs, WOW!..this blew my mind. It was a unique program that just made so much of sense and I thought I have to try it. 3 months later I was in the best shape of my life, it was amazing some much of information that I HAD NO IDEA ABOUT. If I had started on Mike's program initially is would probably saved me about 6 months of training to get to the same result.
